WATCH: Gloria Estefan Plays Santana's Sassy Mom on 'Glee'

Get on your feet, Gloria Estefan fans, because the Latina superstar is headed to Glee! Estefan will play Santana Lopez's (Naya Rivera) mother Maribel in the upcoming season finale.

After meeting many of the New Directions members' parents, Santana finally has her Mami pop up on the show. With the prom and the Nationals victory under their belts, the glee club kids face their biggest challenge yet -- saying farewell to the seniors who are graduating, like Santana.

In the season finale "Goodbye," Estefan's Mrs. Lopez is on hand to celebrate her daughter's graduation and from the sneak peek it looks like she even takes Santana and her girlfriend Brittany (Heather Morris) to Breadstix together.

"She's super tiny, and a ball of energy, and really excited to be here," Rivera says of the Cuban-American singer, who is a big fan of the show and knows a thing or two about singing in ensembles.

"I was in glee club, but I went to an all-girls Catholic school, so it was a little bit different," Estefan says. "I'm beyond thrilled, because we're big fans of the show. My daughter and I have been watching religiously since season one, and I'm just so happy to be here."

Estefan also had high praise for her onscreen daughter. "Naya is my favorite character. She gets real good zigners in. I love to listen to the insults that she throws at everybody."

And the Miami-bred pop star loves how much Glee has done for her industry and for the show's younger viewers.

"It leaves some nice lessons in there, but not in a heavy-handed way, and it has rescued a lot of music. I think it came at the perfect time," she gushes.

The season finale of Glee airs Tuesday at 8 p.m. on Fox.
