We're not the only ones singing a happy tune about Glee's success. Fox's musical sensation has officially been picked up for a second season -- and the cast of the series is ecstatic.
"This a psychological relief!" Jane Lynch, who plays cantankerous coach Sue Sylvester, told Access Hollywood. “Knowing that I get to do this show and play this character and work with these people for another year is just thrilling to me!”
Glee-club ingenue Lea Michele (Rachel) says she and costar Corey Monteith (Finn) often can't believe their good fortune.
"Corey and I will turn each a lot and be like, ‘Oh my god! Is this happening?’ But it’s great. I’ve believed in this show from day one,” she continued. “We’re still working really hard, we haven’t even completed our first season. So there’s still a lot of hard work ahead of us."
About the show's success, Dianna Agron (who plays pregnant cheerleader Quinn) says, “In a few years from now, maybe it will have all sunk in, but right now it’s just far too grand!”
The remaining nine episodes of Glee's first season return to Fox in April.
