Ages: 3-5, 6-8
Location: Indoors
Skills: Art, Math, Language

What you'll need:
Medium bowl
Spoon
Liquid starch
White glue
Food coloring
Measuring cup
Plastic table cover

Background:
The cool silkiness and gooey consistency of Glorch appeals to all ages.

Setting up:
Enthusiastically encourage children to find materials, measure and mix the Glorch, choose its color, and explore its possibilities.

What to do:
Follow this recipe for Glorch, and enjoy it together.

1/2 cup liquid starch
1 cup white glue
choice of food coloring

Pour starch into mixing bowl. Stir in white glue. Add food coloring as desired. Encourage children to be adventurous. Drip the Glorch off of fingers, use it like finger paint on a plastic table cover, watch it run down an inclined plane (just tip a plate with Glorch on it). Glorch doesn't behave as you expect it to. If the mixture gets on clothing, soak the item in water before laundering.
