chime in nowConsidered one of the original voices of the women’s liberation movement, Gloria Steinem, a one-time Playboy bunny-turned-feminist activist, founded the legendary women's magazine Ms. in 1972. Despite a breast cancer diagnosis in 1986, she continues to give speeches, write and keep herself heavily involved in politics. Steinem, now 76, was particularly active in the 2008 presidential election, and her outspoken editorials on its key players (including Hillary Rodham Clinton and Sarah Palin) are merely the latest in a long line of divisive opinions.
