The Televised Interviews

The Scene: Before the Games kick off, each of the tributes is interviewed by Capitol television host Caesar Flickerman (Stanley Tucci). The interviews are meant to showcase the tributes' personalities and make them likable to the viewers -- who can later choose to help them out by donating supplies during the Games. During his on-camera time Peeta reveals his longtime love for Katniss, while she wins points by talking about her feelings toward her sister.
