    Ingredients

    3/4 cup butter 1 1/2 cups flour
    1 1/2 cups sugar 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
    1 egg 1 teaspoon salt
    1 teaspoon almond extract 1 cup rolled oats
    1/4 cup water 4 cups Golden Grahams

       Preheat the oven to 350°F.

      Mix the butter, sugar, egg, almond extract, and water well.

      Blend the flour, salt, and baking soda; mix into the butter-sugar mixture gradually.

      Mix in the rolled oats and cereal.

      Drop rounded teaspoonfuls of onto a parchment-lined baking sheets, making sure to leave about an inch and a half around each cookie.  Bake 12 to 14 minutes or until lightly browned around the edges.
