'7th Heaven' Star Stephen Collins Is Getting Divorced!

Stephen Collins, who played one of primetime's happiest husbands and fathers in 7th Heaven, is separating from his wife of 27 years, actress Faye Grant. Collins, who recently appeared in The Three Stooges, released a statement explaining that he and Grant "are moving forward separately in our lives." He added: "She has been my dearest friend and a loving mother. I know that we'll go through this process in a way that honors our family." Grant, who wed the actor in April 1995, however, says she was blindsided by the divorce. "Stephen's filing for divorce is a surprise. I am devastated," she tells E! News. "I wish him the very best in whatever path he chooses to take. Twenty-seven years of marriage in Hollywood is the equivalent of 189 dog years. I was exhausted."
