PHOTO: Gordon Ramsay & Will Ferrell Injured at Charity Soccer Match

Gordon Ramsay was just trying to do his part for a good cause, but instead he ended up on a stretcher! During the annual Soccer Aid pro-am game in Manchester, England, on Sunday, the Hell's Kitchen star had to be taken off the pitch after a brutal tackle by former pro Teddy Sheringham.

According to the New York Post, Ramsay had to be treated with oxygen and then taken to the hospital for evaluation. But the celebrity chef, 45, wasn't the only celeb hurt in the game. Funnyman Will Ferrell was also knocked around. The comedian, 44, hobbled away from the game with what looked like a leg injury, but he has yet to update his fans on the status of his health.

"Thx 4 all the messages. Out of hospital after receiving amazing care from medics at ground & hospital. Bit sore but fine," Ramsay wrote Monday on Twitter.

The game continued as planned with Hollywood stars such as Gerard Butler,  Woody HarrelsonMike Myers and Edward Norton coming away unscathed from the match held at Manchester United's famed home field, Old Trafford.

Despite the two notable injuries, the match raised an impressive $6.4 million for its chosen children's charity, UNICEF.
