Gravity's Gift

The best way to build bone is to make your body work against gravity. It’s called “weight-bearing” exercise. Walking, running, hiking, tennis, climbing stairs, jumping rope and dancing all are great weight-bearing exercises. Those that are high-impact, such as running, jogging, jumping rope and tennis, are the best. Aim for 30 minutes of weight-bearing exercise on most days.

(Busy? Break it into 10-minute intervals.)
