On Sept. 29, 2010, 44-year-old comedian Greg Giraldo passed away after being hospitalized four days earlier after an accidental drug overdose of prescription medicine. The Last Comic Standing judge and frequent guest on Comedy Central's celebrity roasts was found unconscious by paramedics in a New Jersey hotel room. Giraldo was a graduate of Columbia and Harvard Law School but decided to change his career path after only one year of working as an attorney. His death was first reported by his good friend Jim Norton, who tweeted the sad news and posted a picture of the two. Giraldo admitted to struggling with alcohol addiction over the years but had reportedly been sober for the few years prior to his death. He left behind three children.
