Gwyneth Paltrow sees big things in little Blue Ivy Carter's future. Paltrow, who's good friends with Blue's parents Beyonce and Jay-Z, knows a few things about having stardom in the genes: Her own parents are actress Blythe Danner and the late producer-director Bruce Paltrow. And based on her expertise, Gwyneth has declared 8-week-old Blue Ivy an absolute star in the making.
"For sure, she is going to be an entertainer. She just has this glow around her like her mother," Paltrow, 39, told HollywoodLife at this weekend's post-Oscars Governor's Ball. "Blue Ivy is stunning; she has the most beautiful eyes."
Though she's less than two months old, Blue has already made music history; her newborn cries on the Jay-Z single "Glory," which celebrated her birth, made Blue the youngest person to ever land on the Billboard charts. In a red carpet interview at Sunday's Academy Awards, producer Pharrell Williams talked about creating that unique track with Jay-Z.
"It was something we had planned before it happened, so we were basically waiting," Pharrell told MTV News. "We wanted to capture a moment in time to commemorate the birth of his baby."
Pharrell said that the song was inspired in part by Stevie Wonder, who included his daughter Aisha's baby sounds on "Isn't She Lovely?" in 1976. It was also inspired by Pharrell himself.
"I did the same thing with (my baby) Rocket, I'm just more quiet and private about my life," the rapper-singer explained. "But he and his beautiful wife, they live a different lifestyle and for him it was important for him to stop everything that he had going on and just sort of make statement to his baby and his wife."
As much as they're in the spotlight, Beyonce and Jay-Z have been doing their best to protect their first child together from all the media attention. The couple chose to share their first baby photos online, rather than selling them to paparazzi or a magazine. And while they've only just started venturing out of the house with Blue, Beyonce has made sure to keep her face concealed. Not surprisingly, Beyonce has gotten rave reviews as a mom from her famous friends -- including Paltrow.
"Beyonce is doing great," Gwyneth gushed this weekend. "She's just a natural at being a mom."
Seriously, though, has Beyonce ever been bad at anything?
