Hair Do: The Wet Brush

When my daughter Chloe turned four, she stopped letting me brush her hair before school. Not even one of my usual go-to distractions -- chocolate chip pancakes, Pinky Dinky Doo TV marathon -- could get me within a foot of those Shirley Temple curls.

So I was shocked when, after an impromtu bubble bath at a recent playdate, Chloe let her friend's mom tackle her tresses without a word. The secret: something called The Wet Brush. It has soft, flexible nylon bristles that glide through hair without tangling, and it works equally well on straight or curly strands, wet or dry, long or short. It comes in five colors and it's just $6.
