In the upcoming thriller The Hive, Halle Berry plays an emergency operator who must confront a killer to save a young girl's life. Sounds dangerous -- and it certainly proved to be during filming Tuesday night, when the 45-year-old Oscar winner fell on the set and hit her head at around 10 p.m.
According to TMZ, after the fall Berry began throwing up -- a sign of a concussion -- and was rushed to Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Luckily, Berry's rep insists the actress is doing just fine.
"Halle Berry suffered a minor head injury while shooting a fight sequence on the set of her film, The Hive," the rep said in a statement. "She was taken to the hospital as a precaution, but she checked out healthy and was released. She'll continue production as planned."
This isn't the first time Berry has been injured during a movie shoot. She broke her foot while she was enjoying a day off from filming Cloud Atlas in Spain last year. That movie has since wrapped production and is due out in theaters later this year.
Fortunately, other aspects of Berry's life have been going much better for her. The two-time divorcee got engaged to her boyfriend Olivier Martinez in March, despite her earlier claims that she'd never marry again.
"Who knew?" Berry said with a laugh when she was congratulated on her engagement by Extra!. "I swore it off, right? Never say never, people!"
