What You Will Need:
- Plain, bright-colored apron (inexpensive and available in a wide range of colors at import stores such as Pier One)
- Acrylic paints
- Iron-on letters for child's name (optional)
A single color fabric paint looks fabulous on a bright color. Try yellow hands on a red apron or blue hands on a green one.
Before you begin, wash the aprons to remove the starch (the paint will adhere better), then iron the apron smooth. Squirt a small amount of paint onto a damp sponge and gently rub it over your child's palm. Have her press her hand onto the apron. Repeat over the entire apron. After the paint has dried, iron over the hands to help set the paint. If you are using, iron on the letters of your child's name.
