Star Wars fans, you've got to watch this. Wednesday night's Jimmy Kimmel Live featured a great skit: Harrison Ford meets his old cohort, Chewbacca! But if you think this on-screen, space-smuggling duo have remained friends off screen, think again. Nope, the skit reveals a long-simmering feud between them -- watch here!
"You think you can walk in here and say you're sorry after what you did?" rages Ford. "I'm done with that Star Wars crap, and I'm done with you…Haven't you heard? I'm in Cowboys and Aliens. Daniel Craig's my Wookiee b--- now!"
So…what exactly was the Wookiee's infraction? "She was my wife!" Ford shouts, after throwing him out of his dressing room. "She's still spitting up hairballs!" Oh.
Still, we can't help feeling sorry for the giant Fuzzball. Sure, he should have steered clear of Harrison's honey. But look at the career trajectories of these two friends since they completed Return of the Jedi. Ford went on to do all the Indiana Jones and Patriot Games movies, plus a slew of other blockbusters, culminating in the current Cowboys & Aliens.
And what's Chewie done? A couple of awards show appearances and talk show guest spots. It must be hard on the guy, watching his old partner in crime achieve such staggering success.
Come to think of it, Ford really ought to watch his back. As Han Solo told C-3P0 in Star Wars, "it's not wise to upset a Wookiee."
