Muggles, rejoice! On Wednesday night, ABC Family will air the U.S. premiere of the brand-spanking-new trailer for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2. Stuck like a bookmark inside a 7 p.m. showing of Happy Gilmore (talk about a jarring transition!), the preview promises to be more thrilling than any of the previously released photos and posters, as well as that peek at the film's opening scene we've already received.
Included in the trailer: Harry (Daniel Radcliffe), Ron (Rupert Grint), and Hermione (Emma Watson) escaping from Gringotts Bank, a taste of the eagerly anticipated scene in which Molly Weasley (Julie Walters) and Bellatrix Lestrange (Helena Bonham Carter) engage in wand-to-wand combat, and -- the pièce de résistance -- a glimpse at the final battle between Harry and Voldemort (Ralph Fiennes).
This should amply whet the appetite of hungry Harry fans satisfied counting down the days until Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2 hits theaters July 15 -- an amazing 10 years after Harry Potter and The Sorcerer's Stone was first released.
Like the classic Harry Potter books, the movie franchise is one of a kind; this last cinematic chapter is a milestone event in the history of both family and fantasy films. So watch or DVR tonight's trailer-ific tease. If Harry can conquer serpents, sorcerers, and dragons to get what he wants, the least you can do is sit through an Adam Sandler movie.
