Zoe Saldana has always had a long and lean figure sculpted by ballet and personal training, but lately the actress has lost her athletic build. As Radar Online reports, Saldana looks so scary lately it's borderline unhealthy.
A veteran action star, Saldana is known for her her fierce roles in movies such as Star Trek, Avatar and Colombiana. But recently, Saldana looks at least 20 lbs thinner than usual.
"She looks thin and weak, and incredibly depleted," nutritionist Majid Ali, who has never treated the actress, told Radar Online.
The weight-loss expert estimates that compared to photos when Colombiana was released, the 5-foot-7 Saldana, 33, looks like she has plunged to an unhealthy 100 pounds.
Last year was a tumultuous one for Saldana, who ended her 11-year relationship to fiancé and business partner Keith Britton last November and then turned heads striking up a romance with her The Words costar, Bradley Cooper. Those kinds of changes, Ali explains, could easily cause stress-induced weight loss.
Radar proposes Saldana's weight loss makes her look as gaunt as Cooper's ex-girlfriend Renée Zellweger did during their romance.
During the Colombiana shoot, however, Saldana worked diligently with her personal trainer Steve Moyer to achieve a muscular physique that could pass for a vengeful assassin.
"It's a mixture of a lot of hand-to-hand combat, with a little bit of Krav Maga and I worked with the most amazing stunt people," Saldana told OnTheRedCarpet.com at the movie's premiere.
