Have Fun With Fitness
We've all been there before—your day-to-day workouts get so repetitive, you're bored to tears. If you don’t have a daily workout routine, it’s hard to even get started when simply running on a treadmill sounds far from thrilling. We’ve got some wacky workouts to liven up your sweat sessions... or at least some to make you laugh.
The Jedi Workout
Founded on a whim by a Star Wars enthusiast, the Jedi workout consists of lightsaber battling that strengthens your upper and lower body and provides an intense cardio workout. Classes are available in New York and L.A.
Do It at Home
Find past lesson plans on SaberWars.com and you can battle right at home. Don’t have a lightsaber lying a around? Simply use a broom. May the fitness force be with you.
High Heel Workout
Ladies, get out your stilettos. The High Heel Workout tones up your legs and teaches you how to walk comfortably and confidently… in heels. This 30-minute class has you doing squats, lunges and other moves to help improve posture.
Do It at Home
If you can’t attend the classes in Florida, put on some music, slip on your favorite pumps and make up your own routine right at home. Lunge, step, squat and shake your booty.
Movieography: The '80s
Bust out your leg warmers, baby, because Crunch Fitness has got a class for '80s movie enthusiasts. Get your cardio on and learn dance moves from classics like Footloose, Dirty Dancing and Flashdance.
Do It at Home
We know you’ve got the DVDs (or maybe even the VHS tapes) at home, so why not pop in your favorite '80s dance film and let out your inner Jennifer Beals to burn calories?
Indo Winter Boarding
Have a love for extreme winter sports, but not lovin’ how much it costs to hit the slopes? Indo Winter Boarding is a class at Crunch Fitness that simulates snowboarding with the Indo Board (a deck balanced on a cylindrical roller) to strengthen your muscles and help you with balance.
Do It at Home
If you have a Wii Fit at home, try games like Ski Slalom and Ski Jump to help with balance and strength for a similar effect to the Indo Board.
Go Pogo!
Crunch Fitness doesn’t seem to disappoint with innovative and fun workouts. Go Pogo! is a high-intensity cardio class that will have you hopping around on a Flybar—a modern pogo stick.
Do It at Home
Do your kids have pogo sticks? If so, what a great excuse to bounce around with the kids! If not, a trampoline works just as well for some unconventional cardio.
Punk Rope
Here’s your chance to rock out while you work out. Punk Rope combines jump roping, creative calisthenics, relay races and core training. The best part? Great music of all genres (punk included)—and we hear there are costumes involved.
Do It at Home
You can buy the Punk Rope DVD or do it for free by grabbing a jump rope, some friends and some great music. And, Punk Rope to your heart’s content.

Gravity Defying Fitnes
In this acrobatic training class, you’ll learn aerial skills (yes, that means hanging from a rope!) to help coordination, balance, flexibility and endurance. Improve confidence and get rid of your fears. Classes are available in New York City.
Do It at Home
Unless you have a trapeze or parallel bars at home, it’s nearly impossible to do this sort of workout at home. Try looking for a similar workout in your area at various gyms or trapeze schools.
