Hayden Panetierre's Dad Pleads No Contest to Battery Charges

Hayden Panettiere's dad? Not such a hero.
Alan Panettiere pleaded no contest to misdemeanor battery for allegedly hitting his wife after an altercation at their home, and was sentenced to two years probation. He was also ordered by the judge to complete 52 weeks of domestic violence counseling and pay $400 in fines.
The actress' dad was arrested in August after Hayden's mom, Lesley Vogel, called police and told them that Alan hit her with a closed fist! After he was released on bail the backpedaling started, and Alan told the press that it was all just a big misunderstanding.
Uh-huh. I think we understand just fine.
