Last week Hayden Panettiere was seen hanging at a local burger joint with New York Jets hottie Mark Sanchez, which caused rumors to run rampant that the two were dating.
But it seems that the former Heroes star was telling the truth when she claimed the she wasn't romantically involved with Sanchez -- it's actually his pal and teammate Scotty McNight who has reportedly stolen her heart!
According to UsMagazine.com, Panettiere, 21, met McKnight, 23, through Sanchez, as the hunky athletes have been buddies since high school. Still, the starlet isn't giving too much away about her new romance and is still claiming to be just one of the guys.
"I'm a huge Jets fan and became very good friends with Mark and his buddies," the actress said on June 2. "I've always been that girl who has a lot of dude friends. I'm into sports so we have a lot in common."
Panettiere recently split with Ukrainian boxing champ Wladimir Klitschko, whom she dated for two years -- but she can't seem to get those athletes off her mind! McKnight, who's a wide receiver for the Jets, was drafted in the seventh round of the 2011 NFL draft and previously played for the University of Colorado.
