Ava Sambora, 12, has inherited her mother Heather Locklear's good looks and, thanks to her recent modeling debut, may be out to make a name for herself. Daughter to Locklear, 48, and Bon Jovi rocker Richie Sambora, 50, the tween made her modeling debut at L.A's Fashion Week by strutting the runway for the line codesigned by her dad: White Trash Beautiful.
People.com reports that Sambora donned a strapless black mini dress (seen here) and had her biggest cheerleader -- her mom -- in the front row. Locklear said she was "very proud" but apparenlty doesn't want her baby growing up too quickly: "The minute she’s done I’m going to grab her and wipe off her makeup and get her into her pjs." Meanwhile, a Los Angeles Times blog shows Locklear's daughter in sky-high heels and skin-tight leggings on the White Trash Beautiful runway.
Papa Sambora, who cocreated the women's wear collection with Nikki Lund, couldn't appear at Ava's catwalk debut, due to a scheduling conflict, but Lund assured, "He’s so excited about this, it’s his baby!" Ava Sambora even strutted down the runway to one of Bon Jovi's biggest hits, "Livin' on a Prayer."
Locklear, who split from Sambora's father in 2006 after 11 years of marriage (the two reportedly remain friendly), snapped photos of her daughter throughout the show. Lund, who says the clothing line is inspired by Bon Jovi's music, said Ava is already "a diva! She’s ready to rock it, she’s amazing."
