Heather Mills was reportedly training for the 2014 Paralympic Winter Games, when she had a bit of bad luck on the ski slopes this week. According to the Associated Press, Paul McCartney's ex-wife fractured her right shoulder blade.
Mills, 43, was practicing slalom on the Moelltal Glacier when she took a tumble. She was flown by helicopter to a nearby hospital in Lienz, according to local Austrian newspaper.
Hospital spokesman Alfred Fast told the paper that "no surgery was necessary." The former model was selected for the ski team last year, and she has been in training for 2014 games in Russia. Mills was released from the medical facility Thursday morning and is expected to make a full recovery.
The former Dancing with the Stars contestant lost a leg in a motorcycle accident in 1993. She was married to the former Beatle, 68, from 2002 to 2008; she was awarded $48.6 million in their divorce settlement.
