Heather Morris, the 24-year-old actress who plays ditzy cheerleader Brittany on Glee, is no stranger to hot dance moves. After all, it was her dancing that nabbed her one of the plum roles on the hit Fox show.
After seeing her as one of Beyoncé's backup dancers on Saturday Night Live and the American Music Awards, Glee producers hired her to teach the show's stars the famous choreography to Beyoncé's "Single Ladies" for the pilot episode. She made such a great impression that they gave her a role!
Now, with a sexy photo spread in Esquire magazine, and an even sexier accompanying dance video, Heather Morris is really getting a chance to flaunt her stuff. In the video, Morris demonstrates how to dance to a sampling of the tunes on Esquire's list of the "50 songs every man should be listening to" -- and her choice moves include a bit of air-guitar playing and a whole lot of hair whipping. Morris also breaks down her dance-floor dos and don'ts for the magazine. "You don't want to be too cool. But you don't want to be too dorky," she says. "Still, I find it so much better to see a guy at a club being a dork, and having fun, than trying to be sexy."
Also a turn-off: guys who try to grind with her from behind. "It's offensive. Why would you do that to me?" If you want to bust out a smooth moonwalk, make sure you've got a pair of "slick shoes." And, for the love of all that is pure, always steer clear of the "running man." As for how Morris learned to move so well? "Twenty-three years of dancing." 'Nuff said.
Thus far, Morris' biggest moment in the sun on Glee was being featured front-and-center in the Britney Spears-themed episode, entitled Britney/Brittany. Spears herself loved the episode and Tweeted how much she enjoyed working with Morris, gushing, "Awww Heather Morris is sooo cute!"
We agree. Looks like those 23 years of hard work is paying off!
