Here's the biggest non-shocker of the year: Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt are back together! Montag, who filed for divorce in July, has announced that she and her hubby are giving their marriage another try.
"We are back together trying to make things work," the couple tells People.com. "Costa Rica really put things in perspective. We do love each other and realized we do want to spend the rest of our lives together."
It has been widely speculated that the reality TV couple's split has been all for publicity purposes, and that Pratt and Montag were just looking for a way to keep themselves in the tabloids. And, frankly, their reconciliation only confirms our hunch that their entire split was just a hoax.
After months of bizarre behavior, Pratt made a grand gesture and publicly apologized to his wife.
"Divorce can be a trying, draining, and emotionally devastating experience for all involved," Pratt said earlier this month. "Despite these hardships, most individuals manage to conduct themselves with dignity and maturity. I did not – I failed spectacularly."
Montag seemed to forgive her husband fairly quickly, as the couple was spotted kissing on the beach in Costa Rica just a few days later.
Legal papers calling off the divorce were filed into the court record on Wednesday by Montag’s attorney, Jodeane Farrell.
"After spending time together over these past several months Heidi and Spencer have decided to reconcile," Farrell confirms.
Looks like Speidi is back in the running for the most annoying couple of the year!
