Heidi Montag may want to spend a little less time on cosmetic enhancements and a little more time working on her music.
A week after its release, The Hills star's new album, Superficial, has sold less than 1,000 copies, according to Nielsen Soundscan. UsMagazine.com is reporting that Montag's album has only sold 658 downloads to date.
The dreadful sales figures are likely to come as a surprise to the reality TV personality, who told EW.com she spent all of her money making the album, which she compared to Michael Jackson's Thriller. Montag said she expected "within the first week, we will definitely make our money back."
She added, "I put every dollar I have into this. I've spent over $1 million, almost $2 million, on this album. It's cost as much or more than a Britney Spears album because I wanted it to be that quality... The songs will make an impact in pop history."
Here's hoping she had a backup plan.
