Are you sending your little ones off for their school portraits? Or having them taken at a portrait studio? Either way, we've got some great professional tips to help them look their best!
- Avoid too-trendy clothes and opt for more classic looks in non-wrinkle, permanent press or all cotton fabrics. They'll look and feel fresher throughout the day. For boys, a good option here would be a polo shirt with khaki pants or nice jeans. For girls (who usually love to dress up anyway!), a flattering dress in without too much frills and fuss is great.
- Practice picture taking at home with your children; make it a game to sit still, look right a the camera and smile. Make up a silly phrase to say like "Bees in my peas!" to make it fun. This will help them pay better attention when it's time for the real thing.
- Try to keep kids' hair neat and manageable. For girls, smooth braids or small hair clips look great. Boys usually love wash 'n go hair, so they've got that covered.
- Keep in mind that anything that can come untied, untucked, unbutton or unzipped probably will! Opt for low-fuss options so the photos will spotlight your beautiful children!
