“[I didn't learn to cook] at home in the Midwest, LOL. In my family, a small bottle of Tabasco sauce is considered a good wedding gift, because it will last for decades. It helped to live a few years in Berkeley's ‘gourmet ghetto.’ Plus, having Chinese and Indian housemates who were patient at explaining their homestyle cooking methods.”
