'Amelia' Star Hilary Swank Isn't as Brave as Her Roles

Academy Award winner Hilary Swank has proved she can handle playing the courageous heroine, mastering roles as a boxer in Million Dollar Baby and a pilot in her new biopic Amelia.

But the bravery that her characters often possess isn't necessarily a trait that translates off screen. "I don't really consider myself incredibly brave in any way," the 35-year-old actress tells iVillage. "I just see myself as someone who gets a lot of opportunities to do what I love and therefore learn how to box and fly."

When Hilary isn't kicking butt at the box office, she's spending time with long-term boyfriend John Campisi and his 6-year-old son, Sam. Hilary says it's important for them to share meals together around the dining room table.

And while she loves hanging out with the two men in her life, she's still looking forward to having children of her own when the time is right. "That's definitely something I want to do," she admits.
