Ladies, it's on.
H&M, our favorite brick-and-mortar retailer for on-trend clothes at an affordable price point, is finally — finally! — out with an online shopping option.
The retailer has already offered the option to shop online in such European countries as the Netherlands, Germany, Sweden and the U.K., but until now, we poor deprived Americans were forced to schlep out in person to score on style.
H&M had promised last fall that an e-commerce option was in the pipeline, but delayed its offering. Then in July, Glam.com tweeted a request for an update directed at the retailer, as Huffington Post noted. And H&M actually responded: "Online shopping will be available @hmusa in August, stay tuned for further details!" Ask and you shall receive, apparently.
So it's August 1, and look online now: The online shop is open!
It offers ladies, men's, teens, plus-size and children's, plus a selection of items exclusive to the e-commerce shop. A press release cited by Huffington Post also references additional sizing options available online — which is likely to be a huge boon for plus-size shoppers frustrated by the rather more limited sizes available in stores, HuffPo notes. It further reports the launch of H&M Home online, a range of decor and accessories that will only be available online. Um, yes!
We're really psyched that we won't have to battle mall parking lots (not to mention a tribe of bony girls half our age, if we're being honest) in order to score wardrobe staples and special-occasion pieces alike.
How about you? Will you shop H&M online?
