ADAPTED FROM EVERYDAY STYLING
BY SUSIE COELHO
Winter is a time for holiday celebrations and getting the home ready to receive family and friends. Although wreaths, lights, ribbons, and bows are often used to cheer up the dark time of the year, few people think to style with live plants during the dead of winter -- but why not? Your beds may be frozen, but potted conifers bring greenery and living energy directly to your entryway, and they last the entire season. By the time the plants outgrow their pots, the ground will be thawed and you can plant them in the year for years of future pleasure.
