Holiday Wish Lists: Naughty or Nice?
Do you get everything you wished for last Holiday Season? Whether you write a letter to Santa or just leave an ad from a magazine under your husband’s pillow (which I am known for) you always want to be able to let people know what you want if they decide that they want to give you a present this holiday season. So that’s why I recommend that you compose a wish list.At Lee Lee’s Valise we like to compile a data base of those items that our customers would love to get but are not able to buy just at that moment. So when your significant other comes shopping we can tell them what you really want them to buy to be your hero. We have all of the sizes listed from everything from bras to dresses to belts. And we never have to divulge your size - so if you don’t want your boyfriend to know it is no problemo! We just pull the pieces off of the wish list and they're able to make an intelligent choice and pick something that will really be appreciated. Most of your full-service boutiques will offer a similar service to make shopping as painless as possible. There is nothing worse than getting a great dress in a size too big or too small. Both the gift giver and gift getter are embarrassed when it is the wrong size and it takes all of the fun out of gift giving!
A new innovation integrates the internet into the process. At Wishpot.com you can set up a “Wish Pot” that lists your wish list for fashions or other items. They have separate registries you can set up for Weddings or Baby showers or just what you want for Christmas, even if it is only your two front teeth. Bookmark the sites and select gifts that you really want to get and share them with the interested parties who would be happy to be pointed in the right direction.
You can also sign up on Facebook for “Wish Pot” for an easier way to access your lists for the people who love to use Facebook. This social media is the norm these days and everyone seems to be friend-ing each other and what better way to let your friends and family know what you want than to post it on your Facebook wall.
A similar site can be found on Yourlistonline.com where you can post a wish list for weddings, christenings, birthdays and holidays. It’s free and gives you a chance to put out that list for everyone to see. I think it is a great way to set up a wedding or baby shower registry especially for you’re out of town friends and relatives.
Why not take the guesswork out of gift giving?
Is getting what you want without setting up a wish list just wishful thinking?
