The Situation: Based on the founding of Facebook and the life of its young creator, Mark Zuckerberg, The Social Network begins in a random Boston bar. Socially awkward Harvard student Mark Zuckerberg (Jesse Eisenberg) is on date with his long-time Boston University girlfriend Erica Albright (Rooney Mara). Lost in a deeply one-sided conversation, Mark manages to insult Erica's intelligence and values in what can only be described as a rapid-fire stream of consciousness. Erica gets more and more infuriated, realizing that, while Mark may be brilliant, he is not a nice guy. She immediately dumps him with brutal honesty.
Quote: "You are probably going to be a very successful computer person. But you're going to go through life thinking that girls don't like you because you're a nerd. And I want you to know, from the bottom of my heart, that that won't be true. It'll be because you're an ass. " - Erica Albright (Rooney Mara)
Why It Works: Erica's swift action and harsh words remind women everywhere that respect and kindness are not negotiable traits in a relationship.
