Maybe Gary Wilson should pen a book called The Hitchhiker's Guide to Baby Birthing. The homeless man helped save the life of a baby born at a rest stop in Oklahoma City after helping unwrap the umbilical cord from the newborn's neck, according to the UPI news service (via the Huffington Post). The mother, Keaton Mason, was with her fiancé, traveling along an interstate when she went into labor a month early, according to the new service. She called 911, but before paramedics arrived, the baby had stopped breathing, and Wilson, who was nearby, unwrapped the cord, tied it back and rubbed the infant's back until the child breathed again. "He did everything perfectly right," a paramedic later told News 9. UPI notes that workers at the rest stop fed the hero and housed him for the evening. Book deal, anyone?
