Homeschooling Message Board
Have you decided to homeschool your children and don't know where to start? Are you looking for ideas to help educate your children, either full-time or after school? Whether your child is a preschooler or high schooler, or your homeschooling style is eclectic or unschooling, you will find lots of support, ideas, and resources right here.
Hear what women have to say about this board:
I don't know how I would have survived our first homeschooling year without the support I found on this board. The women here are quick with their support whether I need an encouraging word to make it through a rough day or I just need to know where to find spelling curriculum. The Homeschooling Board has for me, for the last four years, been a place to brag on my children's accomplishments, to vent when the kids just weren't responding well, to seek advice on everything from schedules to curriculum to balancing housework, schoolwork and family or to just hang out with friends.
This homeschooling support forum is my internet 'teacher lounge.' I can come here for advice, support, praise, a shoulder to lean on, a place to brag about my kids, and just a place to hang out. This board has members from all walks of life, and at all phases of homeschooling, so there is something for everyone here.
I've been coming to the Homeschooling board for several years. There have been times when the only real support I've had has been here. The open, inviting, friendly forum is very supportive. It is nice to hear opinions from people who homeschool for different reasons, or use a different style. I think we all grow through the experiences that others share. It isn't always easy to take a different route in educating our children, but knowing others are in the same boat gives me comfort.
