Step One: Prep Your Cord



To form the base of this easy-hanging chandelier, you’ll need a long lamp cord, like Ikea’s Hemma cord set. For a softer, more streamlined lamp, first give the outside of the cord’s light socket two coats of white paint—or leave it as-is for some tough-looking contrast.
