Want to Flirt with Danger or a Man's Attention? Think Red

Danger, excitement, or passion -- red has it all. In some cases, the color can push people off. Research at the University of Rochester in New York found that when people looked at a red cover of an IQ test, for example, they moved their bodies away from the test cover more than those who were given a test with a green or gray cover. But when women wear it, it seems to have the opposite effect -- at least, on men. In a series of five other experiments, University of Rochester researchers found that when women wear red, men view them as more attractive and more sexually desirable (and yet the men are totally unaware of this effect). So if you're feeling frisky -- or want to encourage those feelings in your partner --  put on something red and let the fun begin.
