Does bacon really make everything better? From BLTs to big brunch platters to chocolate cupcakes, bacon has a pretty good track record for improving everything it touches.
How to Cook Bacon in the Oven
Surprisingly, the best way to cook bacon without spatter and stress is to bake it in the oven. Preheat the oven to 400, line a rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil to cover the sides and bottom, and place a wire cooling rack inside the baking sheet.
Place the bacon slices in a single layer on the rack and bake for 15-20 minutes, flipping once, until the bacon is crispy. Reserve any fat that’s dripped onto the aluminum foil for future use.
How to Cook Bacon on the Stove
To cook bacon on the stovetop, place the bacon into a large skillet and heat over medium-heat. Flip often as the bacon cooks to make sure it is evenly crisp on both sides.
