chime in nowFirst, consider your unique needs. Think about the challenges you face in keeping your home organized, and take stock of the clutter that needs corralling. Then, make a wish list. The command center we built was designed as a place to:
Leave notes or reminders
Take phone messages
Store and update shopping lists
Sort mail and store papers
Once you know which features you want to include, make a sketch of your planned command center. Ours will be 32” square, with a 1-foot blackboard at the top, a magnetic strip (which will hold a detachable notebook for shopping lists) and five pockets for sorting and storing mail and papers.
