Plot Your Potted Plants

Take a walk around your garden and really look at what happened over the winter, says Nell Foster, horticulturist, gardening blogger, and owner of Joy Us in Santa Barbara, California, which creates eco-conscious and stylish garden apparel and accessories. Then, consider container plants for your patio. “There is a big trend in Europe called sitting among your plants,” says Nicholas Staddon, Director of the New Plants Introductions for Monrovia. “People are strategically placing containers and putting seats by these containers, so you are really close to the plants and smell fragrances and can reach out and touch the foliage.” So think about picking out some pretty glazed containers and creating a lush place to lounge among your greenery.
