After the bombs exploded during the Boston Marathon on April 15, Americans everywhere grieved for those who were involved -- and mothers struggled with how to tell their children about the tragic event.
For Gwyneth Paltrow, honesty was the best policy when it came to breaking the horrible news to her children -- Apple, 8, and Moses, 7 -- with husband Chris Martin.
"I'm pretty honest with my kids," the Iron Man 3 star tells iVillage. "I think they have to understand that the world is a scary place, it's a beautiful place. People are good, and people are in pain and they act out. I try to explain it in the least scary way, but I'm pretty honest with them about stuff."
