How Healthy Are Women in New York?

New York women have a healthy life expectancy of 82.7 years and are safer than most from being killed by a gun. Does that mean SVU is all lies? And a healthy 30.4 percent of women get their recommended five servings of fruits and vegetables, ranking the Empire State #13 in the country for healthy diets.

But those cholesterol levels, ladies. Nearly 40 percent of New Yorkwomen have been told their levels are too high, putting them at risk for heart disease. We know, we know. There is so much good food in New York. But eating out less wouldn’t kill you -- actually, we know it won’t!
