How Healthy Are Women in Oklahoma?

If there’s any doubt that screening saves lives, just take a look at Oklahoma. Fewer women here get Pap smears than in most other states. And the result? The country’s highest rate of cervical cancer. Oklahoma needs to start booking those OB/GYN appointments.

Along with a trip to the gyno, Oklahoma women might want to swing by the produce aisle: women in every other state eat more fruits and veggies than an Okie. Other health problems like obesity, high blood pressure and heart disease only add to the state’s woes.
