How Healthy Are Women in Oregon?

Oregon women know the value of a healthy lifestyle. Not only are women here more active than in any other state (active = at least 150 minutes of exercise per week) but they also eat a diet filled with fruits and veggies—and it’s one of the healthiest in the country.

Of course it’s no shock that the state then reaps the benefits: Oregonians are thinner than most, and are less likely to suffer from the conditions (like high cholesterol and blood pressure) that plague America’s more sedentary states.

Unfortunately, this doesn’t mean that it’s all sunny in Oregon. Women here are actually more likely to be diagnosed with depression than in any other state. Might the dreary weather have something to do with it?

See where Oregon ranks on the health issues below. Remember, #1 is healthiest; #50 is least healthy.
