How Healthy Are Women in Tennessee?

Women in the Volunteer State need to get out there and break a sweat! Tennessee women have the nation’s worst record when it comes getting enough exercise, and it shows. The state lands among the five worst states for both heart disease and being overweight or obese.

The good news: health insurance coverage is good, asthma rates are the lowest of all states, and less than 4 percent of women in Tennessee go on drinking binges (yes…even though it’s the home of the famous Jack Daniels whiskey).

See where Tennessee ranks on the health issues below. Remember, #1 is healthiest; #50 is least healthy.
