How Healthy Are Women in Virginia?

Virginia needs to change its state motto to “Virginia Is for Lovers of Fruits & Veggies.” Women here have one of the healthiest diets in the country. They’re also smart about other preventative measures: getting annual Pap smears and mammograms, and going to the dentist.

If there’s one big area for improvement, it’s this: at 11%, women’s diabetes rates are among the nation’s highest.
