How Healthy Are Women in Wyoming?

Wyoming women are among the healthiest in the nation! Not only do they eat a healthier diet and get more exercise, they have lower rates of heart disease, diabetes and high blood pressure than women in most other states. Plus, only 54.9 percent of women are overweight or obese (the national average is 57 percent).

In the needs improvement category: rates for preventative screenings like mammograms and Pap smears are among the 10 lowest in the country.
