How to make Caramel Corn

What you'll need:
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup corn syrup
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
8 cups of popped popcorn
Wax paper that has been sprayed with nonstick cooking spray

Your children will be dazzled by the results of this easy-to-follow recipe.

Setting up:
You can save time by making the popcorn ahead of time.

What to do:
Combine butter, sugar and syrup in a large microwave-safe mixing bowl. Microwave for three minutes on high. Stir. Add baking soda to the mixture, stirring gently until the mixture is light and foamy. Cook on high for another 1 1/2 minutes. Add the popcorn to the mixture and stir until well coated. Cook on high for another 1 1/2 minutes. Spread the mixture onto the wax paper and allow it to harden at room temperature for an hour. Break the mixture into pieces.
