What you'll need:
Paper lunch bag
Orange felt scrap
2 brown beans
White glue
Colored markers
Brown feathers (optional)

Background:
Looking for a creative, inexpensive craft to do with your kids? This activity fits the bill perfectly. Encourage kids to build several puppets and put on a show or tell a story.

Setting up:
Cut a piece of construction paper to fit the side of the paper bag and another piece to fit the bottom. Glue the paper to the bag.

Draw feathers on the body or glue on real feathers.

Cut two triangular beaks from orange felt and glue on the face.

Glue on the two beans for eyes.

What to do:
Place hand in the bag with fingers around the natural fold.

Help your children create characters with personalities with all of their puppets by altering the pitch and pace of their voice, their accent and their movements.
