How to Make a Picture Mosaic

Materials

• Colored paper
• Black paper
• Glue
• Scissors

Directions

Cut the colored paper into small squares no larger than 1 inch by 1 inch. Glue the squares onto the black paper creating a pattern or picture. Try to cover the entire black paper with tiny squares. Imagine what it was like to do an entire floor!

Note: Many floors in old churches had mosaic patterns made of cut glass and stone.
