How to Make Popcorn Balls

Learn how to make these balls for the garland in our Candy Land Holiday Village

Yields 12 small balls
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup water
1/4 cup light corn syrup
1/2 teaspoon vinegar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
9 cups popped corn

In a medium saucepan on low heat, mix all ingredients except corn syrup. Insert a candy thermometer in saucepan and boil mixture on medium heat until thermometer reads 260 degrees Fahrenheit. In a large buttered bowl, pour corn syrup over the popcorn while stirring thoroughly. Butter hands lightly and shape into 2-inch balls.
